Want to put an ad out on the air in a prime spot to move and motivate the many new, young voters to cast their ballots for change, but don't have any money? Easy - just vote for Eminem's scathing new video "Mosh" on MTV's "total request live" show. It's as good as a campaign ad, but coming from someone that they're more likely to listen to, rather than their nearest primped and polished politician. Not only does this powerful video have the potential to really motivate people to the polls through rain sleet and snow, but it also may have a decent chance at swaying the undecided, uninterested, and swing voters to the other side. By pure strength in numbers, we could force the controversey-shy MTV to play this video for every day from now to election day. Forward the link to friends.

Vote for it at: http://www.mtv.com/onair/trl/vote/

Watch it at: http://www.gnn.tv/content/eminem_mosh.html (includes a small file, and a very high quality 45 mb file for those with fast connections)

This is a site with posters that you can print and hang up to help influence the vote.
The posters include the address to the site so people can get the posters themselves
and learn more information on the issues they address.
Help us change some minds and change our leadership.

Edwards and Cheney... it's like the devil on one shoulder and the angel on the other. I am sure you can figure which is which.

Help defeat Bush in 2004.

George Bush

Post a link to http://www.americanprogressaction.org/site/pp.asp?c=klLWJcP7H&b=118263, with the text "George Bush" as the link. This will push the site up in Google's search results for the words "George Bush" and hopefully educate some swing voters about why America needs a change.

To post this link, type
<*a href="http://www.americanprogressaction.org/site/pp.asp?c=klLWJcP7H&b=118263">George Bush<*/a>
without the asterisks.

Please post this link in your LJ, xanga, blog, or other form of website, and, if you could, urge others to do the same.

Kerry Takes Over Electoral Count according to electoral-vote.com [Oct. 8th, 2004|01:48 pm]
John Edwards 2004

There are 48 new polls today in a total of 25 states. The bottom line is that Kerry is continuing to surge. He now has more than the 280 votes in the electoral college needed to be elected president. However, his margin is razor thin in many states. Still, this is a remarkable comeback. From the electoral college graph you can see how steep his rise has been. All of this gain is undoubtedly due to the first debate. Needless to say, tonight's debate will be extremely important for both candidates.

Full Story at Electoral-vote.com...which is updated to reflect current data from the dozens of state, national and media polls as they are released. Be sure to visit it often as figures will change frequently over the next several hours and days surrounding the debates.

You can click each state and get the latest results and a wealth of information. As far as I can tell, this is the most unbiased and scientific of the polls out there. It doesn't favor either Democrats or Republicans.

What's really fascinating is if you click the movie link, which displays the map and the changes in the electoral college on a day-to-day since May. It's fascinating!!!!

This is the one poll you should pay attention to only if you're trying to keep track of likely voters impact on the electoral college vote.

Hey everybody! Im new! I just joined this community about five minutes ago. Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hi. Um, quick intro: I live in Texas (I KNOW! I KNOW! It's Bush country around here!) and I hate Bush. I see all these bumperstickers and yard signs and I just want to slap somebody. I cant comprehend how people like him. But anyway, Im a member of the Tom Green County Democratic Club and Im going to be manning the desk at headquaters three times this month. I also had the honor of going to a dinner hosted by them this past Monday. I'll also be attending their Election Party on November 2nd. I firmly believe that Kerry and Edwards have what it takes to put this nation back together and that's why I joined this community. Anyway, it's nice to meet all of you and Im looking forward to reading some very insightful posts from all of you! :)

Cheney Lies II [Oct. 5th, 2004|09:35 pm]
John Edwards 2004

How funny that Cheney referenced Factcheck.com that leads to GeorgeSoros.com with the banner headline that reads President Bush is Endangering Our Safety, Hurting Our Vital Interests, and Undermining American Values.

Perhaps he was refering to Factcheck.org when he was suggesting that Kerry voted 98 times to raise taxes, which
Perhaps he was refering to Factcheck.org had already disproved prior to the debate. No one argues that Cheney isn't simply brilliant (though I think he's mean, hateful and driven by greed or self-interest), but he should have been more prepared.

Apparently, John Edwards' wife had to remind Cheney of the two times that he and John have met. Apparently, one of those times was the two hours they sat next to each other at some kind of luncheon.

As of 9:30 PM (PST)
MSNBC.com has Edwards as winning the debate 68 percent to 32,
FoxNews.com has Edwards winning the debate 52 percent to 47 (FoxNews!!!),
CNN.com has Edwards winning the Debate 78 percent to 13,
CBSNews.com has Edwards winning the debate,
ABCNews.com has Chenney leading the poll 42 percent to 35.

I thought it was very telling that for all his knowledge and experience as Vice President, Mr. Cheney had no clue that there was such an AIDS epidemic among African American women.
